Approximately 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, and per the CDC, “stillbirth effects about 1% of all pregnancies, and each year about 24,000 babies are stillborn in the United States.”
After delivering my baby stillborn at 21 weeks, I was inspired to start a blog. The purpose of my blog is not only to tell my story, but to raise awareness and discuss a topic that is so taboo. It is understandably a subject not talked about a lot, but can leave bereaved families feeling alone, and families of the bereaved feeling helpless. I can only hope that sharing my experience will help somebody else.
